May 2019. ChemDNA & Klausen Group member Sophie demonstrate chemistry in action with baking soda and vinergar-powered cars at the SABES (STEM Achievement in Baltimore Area Schools) Science Fair! ChemDNA is a student group focusing on Chemistry Diversity, Networking, and Advancement.
Fall 2019. Safety Officer Carlton represents the Klausen Group in the Student Safety Committee.
January, 2018. Bekka takes part in the Women Serious About Science (WSAS) Seminar Series at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute.
May, 2017. The Alliance for Diversity in Science and Engineering (ADSE) at the University of Maryland, College Park names Dr. Klausen the inaugural ADSE-invited seminar speaker.

January, 2015. Heidi and Eric volunteer with the JHU chapter of the National Organization for the Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE) as judges at a local science fair.
