RESEARCH SERVICE HELPS LOCATE FUNDING

The Office of Research Administration Services offers a
computerized funding search service, called IRIS, to help
university researchers find funding opportunities for basic
and applied research, training, travel, equipment and
publishing.  
    The service contains more than 6,000 programs sponsored
by both governmental and private institutions. Search results
are tailor-made to an investigator's needs using keywords
that are chosen by the researcher from over 2,400 subject
areas. This service is available free of charge to faculty
and researchers at Johns Hopkins and its affiliates.

    Departments may also directly access the computerized
funding search service to perform their own searches. For
