Upcoming Holland Ford Lecture to Include a Discussion of Black Holes Holland C. Ford, professor of physics and astronomy, and an astronomer at the Space Telescope Science Institute, will give an illustrated lecture titled "Searching for Black Holes" on Wednesday, Oct. 19. The lecture is part of the Wednesday Noon Series sponsored by the Office of Special Events and will be held in the Garrett Room of the Milton S. Eisenhower Library. Dr. Ford was the chief scientist for COSTAR, the corrective optics for the Hubble Space Telescope, and had responsibility for choosing and implementing its design.
