Dress Better for Less at the Better Dress Sale

Designer dresses, vintage clothing and classic accessories will
be on the rack at this year s Johns Hopkins Best Dressed Sale
and Boutique. Now in its 30th year, the Hopkins sale attracts
clothing connoisseurs who come to buy the best in gently used
fashion.
The sale will be held on three consecutive days at the
Evergreen Carriage House, 4545 N. Charles Street: on Thursday,
Sept. 29, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday, Sept. 30, from 9 a.m.
to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, Oct. 1, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Some
surprise specials will be featured on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1; on
Oct. 1, everything is half price.
"Last year s sale raised over $105,000," notes Trina
Johns, co-chairperson of the sale and member of the Johns
Hopkins Women's Board, which sponsors the event. "Imagine
buying Chanels, Lois Ferrauds, Ungaros, Escadas and Frabrakants
at a fraction of their original price. It s a shopper s
delight."
The Best Dressed Sale features items for women, men and
children, including furs, dresses, suits, shoes, casual wear,
lingerie and maternity clothing. In the boutique, shoppers will
discover an array of scarves, purses, costume jewelry and other
accessories.
All proceeds benefit patient-care programs at The Johns
Hopkins Hospital. The Women s Board raises over $500,000 for
the hospital annually.
