Entrepreneurship & Management, ECONOMICS, and Political Science courses

Application/Registration for Career Development courses/trips must be processed at the Career Center, Garland Hall 3rd Floor.

Registration materials for Media & P.R. in the Big Apple and Perspectives on Globalization must be submitted by Noon November 15th, 2015.
Registration materials for the Financial Literacy trip are due by Noon October 30th, 2015.

Students will be notified of their acceptance via email on Tuesday, November 24, 2015. If students are selected for the trip a nonrefundable $100.00 deposit is needed to hold their place, due by noon pm on December 4, 2015. Financial Assistance may be available to those who qualify. If students do not meet this deadline, their space will be forfeited to a student on the waiting list. Selected Students are required to participate in a mandatory trip.

Trip Amount

$275 (check or money order made payable to "Johns Hopkins University") - includes transportation and lodging. (2015 Trip Amount TBD)

Trip Deposit

A $100 (nonrefundable) deposit is due upon notification of acceptance into course/trip no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2015.

Trip Balance

The $175 balance is due by noon on December 11, 2015.

Public Health Studies Courses

 

AS.280.207.11 - I Have my Public Health Degree, so now what???

The goal of the course is to introduce students to and enthuse them about the vast array of public health practice careers, as well as foster individual career growth and development. Case studies will be presented and discussed to highlight a range of public health professional roles and responsibilities, as well as the skills and competencies required for effective public health practice. THE COURSE WILL INCLUDE TWO ALL DAY FIELD TRIPS TO PUBLIC HEALTH AGENCIES, NON-PROFITS, PRIVATE SECTOR, AND COMMUNITY BASED ORGANIZATIONS IN D.C. AND BALTIMORE SCHEDULED FOR JAN 7 & 8. A mandatory trip meeting and resume workshop will be held in early December in the Career Center Library, Garland Hall, 3rd floor. Course/trip attendees made by faculty selection and applications will be due to the JHU Career Center on November 14 by noon. D.C. and Baltimore trip dates Jan. 7 & 8.
