ACADEMIC POLICIES

Intersession is a period of about three weeks in January set aside for voluntary activity on the part of both faculty and students. Participation is encouraged but not required.

Courses and activities are open to any current degree-seeking Hopkins undergraduate who was enrolled as a full-time student in the previous fall semester. Students may earn up to 3 credits during intersession.

Students do not have the option to choose how they will be graded in Intersession; most courses are S/U. Study Abroad and language courses are offered for a letter grade. Please refer to the course description for the grading system that applies to your specific Academic Exploration course. 100% attendance is expected for successful completion of Academic Exploration courses.

FINANCIAL POLICIES

Tuition is free for degree-seeking undergraduate students who were enrolled full-time in the previous fall semester. Students who do not meet this criteria are charged tuition at a per-credit rate of $1,624.
