HopkinsCares Collecting Donations at Homewood

Update: 09.16.05

The next HopkinsCares meeting will be Thursday, Sept. 22nd at 4pm in Levering Hall. Please meet in the first flow café lounge. Anyone interested in taking part can attend.

Update: 09.09.05

The HopkinsCares program, a Johns Hopkins student movement started in response to last December's Indian Ocean tsunami, has begun collecting donations to aid the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Wristbands, embossed with the words, "Hopkins Cares," will be distributed in return for suggested donations of $3 each. Homewood undergraduate student council members and members of the Johns Hopkins chapter of the American Red Cross will be distributing the wristbands at stations around the Homewood campus. Wristbands also may be purchased at the Center for Social Concern office, located on the second floor of Levering Hall.

For further information, as it become available, please check the Center for Social Concern Web site: csc.jhu.edu/. HopkinsCares yahoo group website address is: groups.yahoo.com/group/HopkinsCares/.

Volunteers, departments, staff, and students interested in distributing wristbands can contact Matthew D'Agostino at dag@jhu.edu or 410-516-4777.
