"War on Terrorism" On Thursday, October 18, 2001 at 4 p.m. in the Great Hall of Levering Hall, several Johns Hopkins faculty along with outside experts will conduct a teach-in on the "War on Terrorism." Featured speakers include Gyan Pandey, chairman of the Hopkins Anthropology department; Neil Hertz of the Humanities Center; Paul Kramer, an assistant professor of History at Hopkins; Mohammad Azadpur of the Hopkins Center for Research on Culture and Literature; Suzanne Smith, legislative director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Maryland; and Talal Asad, of the Anthropology department of the City University of New York. Formal speeches by each panelist will be followed by a discussion period that will last until 7 p.m. or as long as people want to keep talking, said Kramer, one of the organizers.
