Tickets for the Undergraduate Diploma Ceremony
Tickets are required for seating at the Undergraduate Diploma Ceremony, the ceremony that begins at 1:45 p.m. on May 23 under the tent at Garland Field on the Homewood campus. This is the ceremony at which graduating seniors from the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and the Whiting School of Engineering cross the stage to be congratulated by the president and their dean. An invited speaker addresses the class.
Each graduating senior in the two schools will receive four tickets for the Undergraduate Diploma Ceremony. Tickets will be distributed in April to graduating seniors with a valid J-card.
Tickets are not required for the University-wide Commencement Ceremony, which begins at 9:15 a.m. on May 23, also under the tent at Garland Field. This is the ceremony at which all degrees, from bachelor's through doctoral degrees, are awarded by the president to graduates in all eight schools of the university. The university also awards honorary degrees at this ceremony. The president addresses the graduates.
