Wreath Workshop at Hopkins

Create your own holiday wreath of greens at the annual Wreath Making Workshop on Friday, Dec. 8, 2000 at the Glass Pavilion on the campus of The Johns Hopkins University, 3400 North Charles Street, from noon to 1 p.m. and again from 1 to 2 p.m. Using traditional methods and the freshest ideas of the season, participants will be able to decorate a balsam wreath for their front doors using nature's best cuttings of pine, magnolia and holly, topped off with a big bright bow. All materials and instructions are included in the workshop fee. Participants are encouraged to bring a bag lunch; refreshments will be provided.

New this year, custom-made wreaths and sill swags can be ordered in advance and picked up after 2 p.m. the day of the event. Custom-made wreaths are $25 and sill swags are $8 or two for $15. To order your wreath or sill swag, call 410-516-8639 and state your color scheme.

The cost for the workshop, sponsored by the Historic Houses of The Johns Hopkins University, is $15 for members of Homewood House Museum or Evergreen House or for university staff, and $16 for non-members. Receive $1 off with advance registration. For information or reservations, call 410-516-8639.
