Tribute to Black History Month at Hopkins

The Baltimore City College High School Knights and Daze Show Choir will pay tribute to Black History Month with a performance of Jazzin , Jammin and Jamboree, a fusion of blues, gospel, and classical jazz, at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 23, in Shriver Hall on the Johns Hopkins University s Homewood campus, 3400 N. Charles St. in Baltimore.

Under the direction of Linda R. Hall, the Baltimore City College High School Choral Music Program is recognized as one of the best in Maryland. The choir and chorus are known for their polished and energetic presentations and have won numerous awards and trophies. They perform for more than 100 audiences each year. Past performances have included the inaugurations of President Clinton and Gov. Parris N. Glendening and a European tour.

This performance is part of the Wednesday Noon Series presented by the Johns Hopkins University Office of Special Events and is co- sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs. Admission is free. For information, call the Office of Special Events at 410-516-7157.
