Theater Hopkins will present the Sheldon Harnick/Jerry Bock/Joe Masteroff musical She Loves Me, beginning Friday, April 20, and running through Sunday, May 20, at the Merrick Barn on Johns Hopkins University's Homewood campus. Curtain time for Friday and Saturday performances is 8 p.m.; Sunday matinees begin at 2:15 p.m. Only on Sunday, May 6, will the matinee curtain time be 1 p.m. Based on a play by Miklos Laszio, She Loves Me has been seen in varied versions over the years: The Little Shop Around the Corner with Jimmy Stewart and Margaret Sullivan, In the Good Old Summertime with Judy Garland and Van Johnson, and most recently, You've Got Mail with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.
Directed and choreographed by Todd Pearthree, She Loves Me features Edward J. Peters and Jane E. Brown as the corresponding sweethearts. Holly Pasciullo, Billy Burke, Jake Riggs, Dan Baileys, Matt Morris, Dennis Wood, Cindy Rinaldi, Lauren Spencer-Harris, Kelli Danaker, Mark Briner, and David Shoemaker complete the company. Robert Gee is the musical director. Tickets at the door are $12 on Friday evenings, and $15 on Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Student rush tickets are available at curtain time for all performances.
