Petra Nemcova, international supermodel, tsunami survivor, and philanthropist, will be the next speaker in the annual Milton S. Eisenhower Symposium at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 2, at the Johns Hopkins University. The speech will take place in the Shriver Hall Auditorium on the university's Homewood campus, 3400 N. Charles St. in Baltimore. Nemcova's speech is entitled, "Surviving a Disaster and Providing for Children of Lesser Fortune." The 45-minute lecture will be followed by a question-and-answer period and reception. The lecture is part of the 2006 Milton S. Eisenhower Symposium, "Finding Our Voice: The Role of America's Youth," a student-run series examining what the future holds for America.
