"A Czech Journey: Prague and Beyond," is a series of eight interactive lectures offered by Johns Hopkins University's non-credit Odyssey Program, that will explore the rich cultural, social and political history of the Czech Republic. Participants will discover the extraordinary impact the Czech Republic had on world culture, from the country's earliest beginnings to it occupation by outside powers to the vibrant nation of present day. The final session features an evening at the Czech Embassy in Washington, D.C. and includes a reception and live arts performance. The course will be taught by native artists, musicians and historians, including author Arnost Lustig. These interesting evening session classes run from Tuesday, March 11 through Tuesday, April 29 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on The Johns Hopkins University's Homewood campus, 3400 N. Charles Street.
