Assistance for Students, Faculty and Staff
School of Medicine or Bloomberg School of Public Health

Students in the School of Medicine and the School of Public Health in need of hurricane-related assistance can contact the Student Assistance Program at 443-997-7000 or 443-287-7000.

Also: The Student Assistance Program is offering a support group for medicine and public health students who are affected by Hurricane Katrina. The first meeting will be on Thursday, Sept. 8, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Please call 443 287-7000 or e-mail Chae Kwak, LCSW-C at ckwak2@jhmi.edu for more information.

The Student Assistance Program offers identification and assessment of personal, family, and school/work-related issues; brief counseling and consultation to students and faculty: crisis response services; preventive and educational sessions; support and discussion groups; and referral to appropriate and accessible services and resources. SAP services are private and confidential, in accordance with state law and university policies.There is no cost for using SAP services.
