Sety I Temple at Abydos

We're on our way to Middle Egypt today, and stopping first at the Sety I temple at Abydos . Katie, Jeremy, and Betsy are part of the group of eight making this trek, and everyone had a great time.

In the shrine at Abydos , Emily and Jeremy carefully study the relief, particularly in the sanctuary of Sokar, where the Osirian resurrection is depicted.

Studying the Relief   King Seti Before the God Amun-Re

Staring at the relief are Katie, Sarah,and Betsy, with Adam behind. In the niche is the beautifully sculpted work of Seti's artists, showing the king before the great god Amun-Re.
