Baltimore's Historic Houses Celebrate the Holidays

Johns Hopkins Gazette Online Edition

Travel back into time and experience Holiday Traditions in Old Baltimore, a tour of the city's most prestigious historic houses dressed up for the holiday season. The event will take place from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 12.

Buses will take participants to the Mount Clare Museum House, the Star-Spangled Banner Flag House, Homewood House Museum, Evergreen House and, new this year, the Garrett-Jacobs Mansion, home of the Engineer's Club. Each destination will offer live period music and entertainment, holiday shopping and a variety of refreshments, provided by local restaurants and caterers including Fresh Fields, Graul's Market, Jeannier's, Patisserie Poupon and Vaccaro's. Free parking is available at Mount Clare and Evergreen for continuous round-trip bus service, provided by Harbor City Tours.

Tickets--$12 for members of participating museums, $15 for nonmembers and $8 for children under 12--may be purchased at participating sites or charged by phone. For tickets or more information, call 410-516-0341.
