CSOS Names Communications Director

Johns Hopkins Gazette Online Edition

Marc Cutright, formerly director of university relations at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, has been named communications director for the Center for Social Organization of Schools.

In his new position, Cutright is responsible for the dissemination of CSOS education research findings to researchers, policy-makers, educators and the general public. A primary goal will be to distribute information about the Center for Research on the Education of Students Placed at Risk and its mission to conduct research and program development leading to the transformation of K-12 schooling for at-risk students. CRESPAR is a partnership of Johns Hopkins and Howard University and is funded by the U.S. Office of Educational Research and Improvement.

Cutright brings to Hopkins 20 years of experience in college and university public relations--at the University of Tennessee, North Georgia College and Northwestern University School of Law. A graduate of Lindenwood College in St. Charles, Mo., he earned a master of education degree from North Georgia College and a doctorate in education from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He also was a Fulbright Scholar to Canada.
