'Last Angry Brown Hat'

The personal and political lives of four former members of a 1960s militant Chicano group called the Brown Hats are brought to the stage in a performance of 'The Last Angry Brown Hat' at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 14, in Mudd Hall, Homewood campus.

Written by Los Angeles-based playwright Alfredo Ramos, The Last Angry Brown Hat won the 1993 Plaza de la Raza Nuevo Los Angelos Chicano Playwrights Competition and has been performed at the Smithsonian Institutions. The four actors comprising the players are veterans of stage and screen roles.

The play's campus appearance is co-sponsored by the Office of the Provost, Center for Talented Youth, Organizacion Latina Estudiantil and the Diversity Leadership Council. The performance is free and open to the public.
