Relay for Life

"Payroll Pushers--Pushing For Life," a group of staff members from Student Employment, was one of 17 teams participating in the first-ever Hopkins Relay for Life, which was held at Homewood April 14 and 15 in conjunction with Spring Fair. The overnight Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society's national signature event, created to increase awareness of cancer in the community and to raise funds to fight the disease. The Hopkins relay brought in more than $22,000.

Among the participants were teams from Finance and Administration and the Vaccine Testing Unit at the School of Public Health; Johns Hopkins Federal Credit Union; National Student Nursing Association; National Society of Collegiate Scholars; JHU Alpha Phi Omega Kappa Mu; Circle K; and School of Nursing faculty.
