Butterball Turkey Program -- Provide Thanksgiving dinners to families in need by participating in the Butterball Turkey Program. Donations of $15 will purchase a Butterball gift certificate to help a needy family buy a turkey or other food items for the holiday.

Adopt-a-Family/Agency Program -- Participate in the Adopt-a-Family Program/ Agency Program by providing gifts, clothing and food to a family or agency in need.

The Singleton Travel Graduate Fellowship -- Applications are being accepted for two travel fellowships of $2,500 each, reserved for Johns Hopkins graduate students who need to be in Italy to work on their research. The funds are intended to cover round-trip airfare and travel within Italy.

Applicants must submit a CV, a description of their project and a letter of support by a Johns Hopkins faculty member familiar with their work. Applicants should demonstrate that the successful completion of their projects would require the use of Italian literary sources. MBA Town Hall Meetings -- Two town hall meetings are scheduled to discuss matters of interest to candidates for master's degrees in business administration.

The first town hall meeting will take place Wed., Nov. 15, at Johns Hopkins University's Columbia Center, located at Columbia Gateway Park, 6740 Alexander Bell Drive. A second meeting is scheduled for Thurs., Nov. 16, at the Downtown Center, Charles and Saratoga streets.

The meetings will begin at 6 p.m. and end around 9 p.m., but interested individuals can drop in at any time.

Occupational Health Services Fall Classes -- The Department of Occupational Health Services, in conjunction with Benefits Administration, is offering the following classes and programs for JHU faculty and staff.

A "Stop Smoking" class will be held on five consecutive Wednesdays beginning Nov. 1, from 1 to 2 p.m. on the Homewood campus. A $10 fee will be refunded after completion of the course.

Yoga will be offered on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings beginning Nov. 6. The cost is $25-$45 for the seven-week course.

Muscle conditioning and toning will be offered on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 12:15 to 1 p.m. on the Homewood campus, beginning Nov. 7. The cost is $20- $40 for the seven-week session.

Seated massage will be offered on both the Homewood and East Baltimore campuses. The 15-minute seated massage, given by a certified massage therapist, is offered for a reasonable fee.

Pilot Project Applications -- The Johns Hopkins NIEHS Center in Urban Environmental Health is now accepting pilot project applications. Projects will be funded for up to $15,000 for the period beginning April 1, 2001, to March 31, 2002. The deadline for submissions is Dec. 18, 2000.

Volunteers Needed for UNICEF -- UNICEF needs volunteers to raise funds for programs to benefit children. UNICEF provides health, nutrition, safe water and other vital services worldwide. People can help by planning fund-raisers such as "Trick or Treat for UNICEF" in workplaces, neighborhoods or schools. The organization is also helped when individuals purchase UNICEF greeting cards. Please note that this project is not just for the Halloween season.

Student Funding Programs -- Two programs are available through the Alumni Association. Both are open to undergraduate and graduate students from all divisions.

The Community Service Grant Program was established to support valuable volunteer experiences for Hopkins students and to foster positive relationships between the university and its surrounding communities. The program supports students who create their own community service projects or design their own ventures within existing volunteer organizations.

The Student Services Grant Program promotes the student experience at Hopkins by providing funding to student groups or programs and by supporting campus events, activities and programs that benefit and involve students from all university divisions.
