Weight Watchers at Work -- The offices of Occupational Health Services and Benefits Administration are offering a Weight Watchers at Work class scheduled to begin Tues., Dec. 4, at noon, and continue for 10 weeks. The cost for the 10-week session is $90. For more information or to register, call 410-516-0450 by Nov. 16.


Holiday Gift Drive -- JHHS Community Services is collecting new toys and new clothing in all children's sizes for distribution during the holidays to those in need in the East Baltimore community. All items collected will be given to families who are clients at the Mayor's Crisis Center. Both departments and individuals are welcome to participate. Bring any items to Suite 500, 550 Building, on or before Dec. 14. For more information, contact Terry Todesco at 410-614-4976 or e-mail ttodesco@jhmi.edu.


Help Others This Holiday Season -- By participating in the Adopt-a-Family/Agency Program, individuals or departments can help provide gifts, clothing and food to a family or charitable agency in need. This program runs in conjunction with the Baltimore City Department of Social Services and various nonprofit health and human welfare agencies.

Members of the Hopkins community can also provide Thanksgiving dinners to families in need. Donations of $15 will purchase a Butterball gift certificate to help an indigent family purchase a turkey or other food items for the holiday. Send a $15 check, made payable to JHU Butterball to Eden Blum, Office of Faculty, Staff and Retiree Programs, third floor, Evergreen House.
