SAIS to hold forum on seeking justice for Iraq

SAIS will hold a forum, "Seeking Justice for Iraq: Who Will Shuffle the Deck of Cards?" at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. The event, hosted by the Swiss Foundation for World Affairs at SAIS, will feature a panel discussion about who should bring to justice the 55 top leaders of the fallen Iraqi regime, and who should bring to justice those who will possibly be indicted in the future but are not included in the American-created deck of cards.

Panelists include Carla del Ponte, chief prosecutor for the International Criminal Tribunals in the Hague; Stephen Schwebel, former president of the International Court of Justice; Ruth Wedgwood, director of the SAIS International Law and Organization Program; and Frank Smyth, freelance journalist and the Washington representative for the Committee to Protect Journalists.

The event will be held in the Kenney Auditorium of the Nitze Building. Non-SAIS affiliates should RSVP to mclo@jhu.edu or 202-663-5942.
