A picture postcard-perfect kind of day welcomed students back to the Homewood campus on Monday, Jan. 6, for the start of intersession, thanks to a thick layer of snow that had blanketed Baltimore the previous day. By week's end, the temperatures had spiked into the 50s and the city had returned to its normal shades of midwinter grays and greens.
