Jewish High Holidays Services Begin Friday;
Affiliates From All Campuses Invited

Religious services marking the Jewish New Year and Day of Atonement will be held this week and next on the Homewood campus for students, faculty and staff from all campuses.

Conservative services will be led by Rabbi Joseph Menashe, Hopkins Hillel director, and will take place in Levering's Glass Pavilion. Rosh Hashanah services are scheduled for Fri., Sept. 26, at 6:45 p.m.; Sat., Sept. 27, at 9:30 a.m.; and Sun., Sept. 28, at 9:30 a.m. Yom Kippur services begin with Kol Nidre at 6:30 p.m. on Sun., Oct. 5.

The schedule for Mon., Oct. 6, is 9:30 a.m., morning service; 1 p.m., Yizkor; 3:45 p.m., discussion with the rabbis; 5:30 p.m., Mincha; and 6:15 p.m., Neilah. A break-the-fast for all will follow in the Great Hall, Levering.

Reform services, led by Rabbi Rachel Hertzman, will be held in the Bunting-Meyerhoff Interfaith and Community Service Center, 3509 N. Charles St. Rosh Hashanah services will be on Fri., Sept. 26, at 6:45 p.m. and on Sat., Sept. 27, at 9:30 a.m. Yom Kippur services begin with Kol Nidre at 6:30 p.m. on Sun., Oct. 5.

The schedule for Mon., Oct. 6, is 9:30 a.m., morning service; 3:45 p.m., discussion with the rabbis in Levering's Glass Pavilion; 5:15 p.m., Yizkor and Mincha; 6:30 p.m., Neilah. A break-the-fast will follow in the Great Hall, Levering.
