One night each year Homewood House Museum takes a special step back into the past with a magical event called Homewood by Candlelight. Seasonal decorations adorn the mantles, early American harpsichord music is performed in the reception hall, the period rooms are lit by candlelight, and cookies and eggnog are served in the wine cellar. The time to gather this year is 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 6. Free to JHU faculty, staff and students, along with a discount of 10 percent on gifts in the museum shop.
