Occupational Health Classes
The Office of
Benefits Administration, in conjunction with
Services, is offering the following classes for faculty
Yoga classes (all levels) are scheduled from noon to 1
p.m., Mondays and Wednesdays, on the Homewood campus,
beginning Jan. 10. Cost for the 10-week session is $30 for
once a week, $50 for twice.
Mindfulness Meditation provides tools for calming the
mind and reducing stress. The eight-week session will meet
from noon to 12:45 p.m. on Thursdays on the Homewood
campus, beginning Jan. 13. The cost is $30.
Seated massages will continue to be offered on the
Homewood, East Baltimore and Eastern campuses. A 15-minute
seated massage by a certified massage therapist costs
Muscle conditioning and toning classes will be held
from 12:15 to 1 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays on the
Homewood campus, beginning Jan. 11. Cost for the 10-week
session is $25 or $45 for classes taken once or twice a
Weight Watchers at Work will begin a 14-week session
on Monday, Jan. 17, on the Homewood campus. The class meets
at noon and costs $148. A class also meets at noon on
Fridays at the East Baltimore campus. For more information

Certificate in Nonprofit Studies
Johns Hopkins now offers its
Nonprofit Studies Program at both its Washington, D.C.,
and Homewood campuses. Applications are being accepted for
the spring semester. This part-time program is designed to
develop and enhance the knowledge and practical skills
needed by nonprofit staff and volunteers to run a

The 2005 NASA Academy
The NASA Academy, held at four NASA locations, is an
intensive 10-week resident research program for
undergraduate and graduate students interested in careers
in aerospace-related fields; dates vary by center, but all
begin in June. Women, underrepresented minorities and those
with disabilities are encouraged to attend.
