The two students, both seniors in the Krieger School, expressed gratitude to Caspersen and the entire board of the Hodson Trust, which has made substantial annual grants to Johns Hopkins over more than four decades. Caporello is majoring in cellular and molecular neurobiology with a minor in philosophy. Watson is majoring in political science with a minor in entrepreneurship and management. Caspersen talked about the power of a single idea to change lives, commenting, "This university is among the best idea factories in the world."
