The university honored 520
School
of Medicine staff members with five, 10 or 15 years of
service at a recognition reception on March 23 in the
Turner Concourse. Among those receiving an award for 10
years of service was JHM dean and CEO Edward Miller, who
thanked the 300 attendees for their contributions to Johns
Hopkins' success.
Division and department heads presented awards and
personally thanked honorees for their dedication.
Eighty-seven staff members with 15 years of service
received a Regency cherry wood clock with the Johns Hopkins
logo in gold, 118 staff members with 10 years of service
received a lead crystal paperweight inscribed with the
Johns Hopkins logo, and 310 staff members with five years
of service received pewter key rings engraved with the
seal.
The School of Medicine reception was the first of
eight recognition events being held this spring to honor
staff members celebrating milestone service anniversaries
in all divisions, as well as those retiring during the
fiscal year.
