Members of the Johns Hopkins community packed
Homewood's Glass Pavilion last week to celebrate the life
of Gilbert Olivier Duvalsaint, a sophomore
chemical and
biomolecular engineering major who died Oct. 26 from
what doctors determined was a meningococcal infection.
Family and friends shared reminiscences of the 19-year-old
and then watched a video montage that featured pictures of
Duvalsaint interspersed with vignettes of those closest to
him expressing their gratitude of knowing the much-admired
New York native.
