Historic Houses Ready for Holiday Visitors

Harpsichordist David Hildebrand will perform Federal-era music at Homewood by Candlelight.

Homewood House and Evergreen House are all decked out in their holiday best and ready to welcome visitors.

From noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, and Sunday, Dec. 4, the public is invited to enjoy live holiday music, decorations and light refreshments as they tour the university's two historic house museums. The event, called Holiday Traditions, is being held in conjunction with Downtown Dollar Days. Admission is $1.

On Monday, Dec. 5, Homewood by Candlelight is set for 5 to 7 p.m., when guests to Homewood House will find the period rooms lit by candles, seasonal music being performed in the reception hall and refreshments being served in the wine cellar. $6 general admission; free for JHU students, faculty and staff.
