Six Stars Under the Stars

A superfamily: Dash, Violet, Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl and baby Jack Jack from Pixar Studios' hit 'The Incredibles.'

On six Saturday nights this summer, Homewood's Upper Quad will become an outdoor movie theater, thanks to the Office of Summer and Intersession Programs. The series begins on June 4 with The Incredibles. Events start at 8 p.m. with live music and food vendors, free movies at 9.

Coming up: June 11, Napoleon Dynamite; June 18, Raiders of the Lost Ark; July 9, Finding Nemo; July 16, Meet the Fockers; July 23, Casablanca. (Rain plan: June 4, July 16 canceled; all others, in Shriver Hall.) The showing of Napoleon Dynamite will feature a guest appearance by one of its cast members — Diedrich Bader, brother of JHU's Jon Bader, associate dean in the Krieger School.

The thespian Bader's movie credits include Miss Congeniality, Office Space, The Beverly Hillbillies and Bram Stoker's Dracula; on television, he has appeared on Frasier, The Drew Carey Show, Cheers, Quantum Leap, Star Trek: The Next Generation and other shows.
