AAALAC Site Visit
The Association for Assessment and Accreditation of
Laboratory Animal Care International site visit will take
place March 20-24. All animal facilities and laboratories
at East Baltimore, Bayview and Homewood will be visited,
and a knowledgeable individual should be available to speak
with the visitors. Investigators and laboratory personnel
should be familiar with their approved animal use protocol
The Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals and
Use of Laboratory Animals at Johns Hopkins (The Blue
Book).

Research Coordinator Training Program
The Research Coordinator Training Program will offer
Fundamentals for the Research Coordinator March 15 to March
17 at the School of
Nursing.
This daylong course provides a comprehensive overview
of the core competencies needed to administer and direct
human subject research projects. Topics include IRB,
recruiting, data management, informed consent and study
administration.
Tuition is $1,500, which is payable by JHU tuition
remission.

SoN Open House
Students interested in baccalaureate nursing programs are
invited to a School of
Nursing open house, beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday,
March 25, in the Anne M. Pinkard Building. Academic program
seminars will cover the traditional baccalaureate program
(21 months), accelerated baccalaureate program (13.5
months), RN to BS program, and BS to MSN program.
Discussions will clarify application requirements and
provide details regarding financial aid. Attendees will
have the opportunity to take tours of the school and to
speak with representatives from the student body, faculty,
administration and admissions office.

East Baltimore Talent Show
The
School of Medicine is sponsoring a talent show and is
looking for talent in music, dance and poetry. The show is
scheduled for 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, in Turner
Auditorium. There will be prizes and a raffle.
