Making Way for SoM's New Front Door

C. Michael Armstrong (fourth from left), chairman of
the Johns Hopkins Medicine board of trustees, along with
Richard S. Ross, Edward D. Miller, William R. Brody, Ronald
R. Peterson and Lenox D. Baker Jr., celebrated Tuesday at
the groundbreaking ceremony for the future front door to
the School of Medicine. More than 300 students, faculty,
alumni and friends gathered to fete the S. Anne and C.
Michael Armstrong Medical Education Building, scheduled to
open by 2009 on a site between the Johns Hopkins Outpatient
Center and the Denton A. Cooley Center on the East
Baltimore campus.
