Live Near Your Work Program
Johns Hopkins University and the City of Baltimore offer
incentives to employees who buy homes in areas near the
Homewood and East Baltimore campuses.
Qualified applicants who purchase a home within one of
the designated areas will receive either a $2,000 grant
($1,000 from the university, matched by $1,000 from the
city) or a $2,500 grant ($1,500 from the university, and
$1,000 from the city) that can be used to offset closing
costs.
Funds for this program are limited and available on a
first-come, first-served basis to full-time
benefit-eligible university employees in good standing. The
completed application must be received by WorkLife Programs
three weeks prior to settlement.
