The exterior of Levering Hall wore sable and gold
bunting, and inside, faculty, staff and students wore their
favorite Johns Hopkins gear when they all came together to
celebrate Commemoration Day on Feb. 22. Even the birthday
cakes — served up by deans and other senior
administrators — were appropriately attired, all
decorated for the occasion with the Johns Hopkins insignia
and sable and gold icing inscriptions honoring the
anniversary of the university's founding in 1876.
