Women's Network Call for Nominations
The JHU Women's
Network invites nominations for both its steering
committee and chapter committee boards.
The steering committee board meets quarterly; each
chapter holds open meetings at least semi-annually. Terms
for each office are one or two years and begin in July.
Positions available are community outreach coordinator
(Bayview); communications (print) coordinator (Bayview,
JHMI, steering committee); program coordinator (Bayview,
Homewood); membership coordinator (JHMI, steering
committee); archivist/recorder (steering committee); and
treasurer (steering committee).
Nominations, including a short biography and brief
description of the candidate's reasons for wishing to
serve, should be e-mailed to Joanne Mullen, jmullen@jhsph.edu,
with the subject line "JHU Women's Network Board
Nominations."
Self-nominations are encouraged from all levels of the
university. The deadline is April 14.
Parkinson's Disease 101: An
Introduction
This half-day class, designed for newly diagnosed
individuals and their loved ones, provides ample
information about Parkinson's disease and available
resources. Presenters are experienced medical and health
care providers.
The next PD101 class is scheduled for April 11 at the
Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center. Registration is required;
cost is $10 per person.

Mayor's Book Drive
Donate new or gently used books to the Mayor's Book Drive
for City Schools. The books will go to both classrooms and
libraries. Donation boxes are located at the front desk of
Levering Hall and in the Student Activities Office, Mattin
Center.
