Intersession Instructors Needed

The 2008 Intersession Personal Enrichment Program, scheduled for Jan. 7 to 25, is looking for instructors in music, art, dance and more. Applications are due Wednesday, Oct. 24, and are available in the Student Development and Programming Office, 210 Mattin Center, or by calling 410-516-2224.

 

Clinical Research Career Development Awards

Applications are now being accepted from postdoctoral fellows and junior faculty for the Johns Hopkins Clinical Research Scholars Program, which supports clinical research training and career development of individuals preparing for a career in clinical investigation.

The deadline for submitting applications is Nov. 15. For more information regarding eligibility, funding and requirements, go to www.hopkinsmedicine.org/clinicalresearchscholars.

 

Elementary School Mentors Needed

Faculty, employees and students are needed to serve as after-school mentors at Collington Square Elementary School, 1409 N. Collington Ave. in East Baltimore.

Funding for Prostate Cancer Research

Funding is available to support multi-disciplinary research in prostate cancer through the Patrick C. Walsh Prostate Cancer Research Fund. Awards of a maximum of $75,000 for up to two years are available to fund career development and pilot projects. New ideas are encouraged. The deadline for applying is Monday, Jan. 7. Homewood Flu Vaccine Schedule

Flu vaccines will be offered free of charge to faculty and staff, as well as spouses/same-sex domestic partners, on the Homewood campus from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 30, in the Great Hall and Sherwood Room in Levering Hall; and from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 31, in Conference Room A and the Great Hall, Levering.

After Nov. 20 and through December, vaccines will be given from 2 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons in the office of Occupational Health Services.
