Deadline for CAAT Nominations

This is the last week that the Johns Hopkins Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing can accept nominations for two awards honoring individuals and organizations for significant contributions to the field of alternatives. Both awards will be presented at the 6th World Congress on Alternatives and Animal Use in the Life Sciences in August in Tokyo.

Sponsored by Charles River Laboratories Foundation, in cooperation with CAAT, the Charles River Laboratories' Excellence in Refinement Award will honor an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the development, promotion and/or implementation of refinement alternatives. This award includes $5,000 to further the recipient's scientific endeavors.

Presented at every World Congress, the CAAT Recognition Award honors an individual (or organization) who has made an outstanding contribution to the field of the 3Rs, the development of alternative methods or the field of in vitro science.
