Even without hula dancers and ukuleles, the Hawaiian-themed Homewood Staff Recognition Reception, the last in the annual series of receptions held for staff with five, 10 and 15 years of service, was a festive event.

Several hundred staff, including those from the university's Academic and Cultural Centers, Carey Business School, Homewood Student Affairs, Jhpiego, Johns Hopkins University Press, Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, School of Education, University Administration and the Whiting School of Engineering, received self-chosen recognition awards, and Hawaiian leis, for their years of service.

Staff with concerns about receiving their awards should call Sondra Ponzi in the Office of Faculty, Staff and Retiree Programs, which organizes the recognition program that has now wrapped for this year.
