Hut Goes on Hiatus

Cram while you still can. Homewood students hunker down for finals in Hutzler Reading Room, the popular study spot that is set for an extended hibernation. The Hut closes on May 15 and will remain closed until the Gilman Hall renovation is completed in the fall of 2010.

To address the need for an interim round-the-clock study space, the Eisenhower Library will open on a 24/7 schedule during the fall and spring semesters. MSEL staff and members of the Student Advisory Council are looking into an additional study space to alleviate library congestion during peak study periods. The MSEL earlier this month witnessed a record 8,129 entrances during a 24-hour period.
