Tutorial Project Needs Volunteers

The Johns Hopkins Harriet Lane Clinic Tutorial Project is seeking math and reading tutors for patients in grades one to six, from 4 to 6 p.m., on Mondays and Wednesdays at the clinic, 200 N. Wolfe St. Tutoring starts Monday, Sept. 29, and continues through Wednesday, Dec. 3, with training beginning in September during the scheduled tutoring times. All must also go through JHH volunteer training. Tutors must be at least 18 years of age, with a high school diploma. Camp Volunteers Needed Camp All Stars, sponsored by the Division of Pediatric Nephrology, needs volunteers to help kids with kidney failure learn to manage the lifestyle and medical regimens essential to their health. The camp, located in Laytonsville, Md., is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 18-19. Volunteer training will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Oct. 2, in the Rubenstein Building at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center.
