Donning blue shirts and yellow hats, 33 Johns Hopkins
students and staff took part in the
Tuesday, Sept. 16, launch of JHU's cohort of Charles
Village Neighborhood Walkers on Patrol. A Johns
Hopkins group will walk Tuesday nights throughout the year
to help improve area safety and serve as a
crime deterrent. The first-nighters — members of
fraternities, sororities and athletic teams — were
led
by Edmund Skrodzki, executive director of safety and
security on the Homewood campus, and were
joined by Patricia C. Jessamy, Baltimore City state's
attorney; Tom Calder, director of athletics; and
Maj. Ross Buzzuro, of the Baltimore City police.
