Charles Village Group Honors Three From Johns Hopkins

At its annual meeting and awards ceremony, held Sept. 24 at the Baltimore Museum of Art, the Charles Village Civic Association recognized individuals who had contributed greatly to preserving, enhancing and promoting the quality of life in the historic neighborhood.

Among those to whom tribute was paid were Johns Hopkins President William R. Brody, for improving university-community relations and for partnering with the community to strengthen Charles Village and beyond; and Carrie Bennett, the university's student-community liaison, for reducing tensions between the university and its neighbors. Maggie McIntosh, an associate for federal relations in the Johns Hopkins Office of Government, Community and Public Affairs, also was honored by the organization for her contributions as a member of the House of Delegates representing District 43.
