Charles Village Group Honors Three From Johns
Hopkins
At its annual meeting and awards ceremony, held Sept.
24 at the Baltimore Museum of Art, the
Charles Village Civic Association recognized individuals
who had contributed greatly to preserving,
enhancing and promoting the quality of life in the historic
neighborhood.
Among those to whom tribute was paid were Johns
Hopkins President William R.
Brody, for
improving university-community relations and for partnering
with the community to strengthen Charles
Village and beyond; and Carrie Bennett, the university's
student-community liaison, for reducing
tensions between the university and its neighbors.
Maggie McIntosh, an associate for federal relations in
the Johns Hopkins
Office of Government, Community and Public Affairs,
also was honored by the organization for her contributions
as a member of the House of Delegates representing District
43.
