at JHU
By John Black Faculty, Staff and Retiree
Programs
The Office of Faculty,
Staff and Retiree Programs has announced this year's
Staff Recognition
Program. Johns Hopkins University staff who are celebrating
milestone anniversaries or are retiring
may choose from a variety of service awards to be presented
at the annual series of recognition
events in June. Orders for the awards must be placed
— by phone, mail or online — by this Friday,
April 10.
Eligible to be recognized are full- and part-time
staff with a minimum of five years of
continuous service with the university who have completed
five, 10, 15, 20 or more years of service, in
increments of five years, and whose service anniversary
falls between July 11, 2008, and July 10,
2009. For a list of 2009 staff honorees and information
about eligibility guidelines and award
ordering, go to:
hr.jhu.edu/fsrp and click on Staff Recognition.
Staff who believe they are eligible for recognition
this year but are not listed or have not
received award ordering instructions should contact Sondra
Ponzi, FSRP program coordinator, at
sponzi1@jhu.edu or
410-516-0338.
Staff retiring before July 10, 2009, must notify FSRP
by April 15 to be included. Retiring staff
with 25 or more years of service will receive instructions
in late April for selecting and ordering a
service award.
The annual series of events starts with the Staff
Recognition and Retirement Dinner at 6 p.m.
on Tuesday, June 9, in the Ralph S. O'Connor Recreation
Center at Homewood for staff celebrating
