Urban Health Institute Hosts Reverse Research
Day
In an effort to connect the diverse needs of city
agencies and community-based organizations
with the valuable research conducted at universities in
Baltimore, the Johns Hopkins
Urban Health Institute will host Reverse Research Day
on Friday, March 13. Bernard Guyer, the Zanvyl Krieger
Professor of Child Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg
School of Public Health, and Joshua
Sharfstein, Baltimore City health commissioner, will
co-chair the event.
Reverse Research Day is a new approach to shaping
research. Through an interactive poster
session, city agencies and community organizations will
lead the initiative by raising questions based on
their specific research needs, with the goal of connecting
with scientists from Johns Hopkins and
other universities who can assist them. In addition to
linking research to city/community programs,
this event will provide opportunities for collaboration and
student research projects.
Reverse Research Day will be from 1:30 to 4 p.m. in
Feinstone Hall at the School of Public
Health. For more information, contact Ebony Pittman of the
Urban Health Institute at 410-502-6155
or
