CPR Training

CPR training is being offered to JHU faculty and staff from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Jan. 21, on the Homewood campus.

This adult CPR training offers hands-on practice, lecture, video demonstrations and manikin training. A $20 nonrefundable, pre-payment fee includes takeaway materials designed for use both in the course and outside the classroom as reference tools. AED training, used on victims of sudden cardiac arrest, is also provided.

YouthWorks Summer Jobs

Children of employees who would be interested in getting exposure to The Johns Hopkins Hospital, health system or university may be eligible for the Johns Hopkins Institutions/YouthWorks Summer Jobs Program.

The program allows students to work in various departments within the Johns Hopkins Institutions while learning, growing and earning a paycheck during their summer break.

To be eligible, students must be Baltimore City residents; attend a Baltimore City school; be at least 15 years old; have a minimum cumulative GPA of 80 percent, B or 3.0; have a 90 percent attendance record; and complete a YouthWorks registration form.

Applications will be available in 428 Phipps, on the East Baltimore campus, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., beginning Jan. 26. The deadline for submission is March 6.
