The seasonal downpours that typically scourge Spring Fair were delightfully absent on Friday, the opening day of the three-day event on the Homewood campus. And Mother Nature promised more sunshine the rest of the weekend. The annual event featured a flurry of food and craft vendors, carnival rides and inflatable games, daytime concerts, interactive games, a beer garden and a showcase of national and JHU nonprofit groups. Above, Scott Zeger, acting provost and senior vice president for academic affairs, and Phil Tang, executive specialist to the provost, chomp down on some carnival fare. Their verdict? Mmm, provostlicious.
