Hopkins Picnic Promises Fun For Everybody


     The annual Hopkins Picnic will be held Thursday, July 13,
from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on the Homewood campus baseball field, at the
corner of Charles Street and University Parkway, across from the
Athletic Center.

     Faculty, staff, students, retirees, families and friends are
invited to attend the festivities that include food, beverages,
music, volleyball, softball and kiddie corral with supervised
children's activities.

     Tickets are $6 for adults in advance ($8 at the gate), $3
for children 3 to 12 years old ($4 at the gate) and free for
children 2 years old and under. Register in advance since a
limited number of tickets will be available at the gate.
Registration information was included in the June 15 paychecks.
In addition to mail-in registration, tickets may be purchased at
the following locations from Friday, June 30, through Tuesday,
July 11:

Homewood Campus
     Levering Cafeteria
     Noon to 1:30 p.m.

School of Medicine
     102 Administration Building
     8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

School of Nursing
     Lobby, 1830 Building
     Noon to 1 p.m.

Peabody
     Cafeteria
     11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

School of Public Health
     Outside the East Wing 
     and in Hampton House Lobby
     Noon to 1 p.m.

SAIS
     315 Nitze Building
     606 Rome Building
     
     In case of rain, call the picnic hotline at (410) 516-4555
for updated information. A rain date is scheduled for Friday,
July 14.

     Anyone interested in volunteering for children's activities
during the picnic should call Judy Peregoff at (410) 516-6060.
