In Brief... ----------------------------------------------------------------- Health NewsFeed, USA radio network join forces The Hopkins Health NewsFeed medical news program is now available to 1,300 radio stations in the United States through a newly signed agreement with the USA Radio Network. USA joins the Bloomberg Business Radio Network as the flagship carriers of the Health NewsFeed program. The daily 60-second report on health and medicine was introduced last June, quickly attracting nearly 100 radio stations and the Voice of America. Following preliminary discussions at the fall 1995 World Media Expo in New Orleans, USA executives and Health NewsFeed director Jack Sheehan began discussions that culminated in the deal signed January 23. Health NewsFeed is produced and distributed free of charge by the Office of Communications and Public Affairs. Affiliates receive it via a satellite feed, a toll-free ISDN system, or the Health NewsFeed computer bulletin board service. The program can be heard in the Baltimore area on WBZS, Washington, D.C. (730 on AM). ----------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------- Stansell Women's History Month keynote speaker The Women's Studies Program will mark Women's History Month in March with a series of lectures, discussions and social events examining the roles of women in society.
